‘OMG’, ‘Please just do it now’: Some Tottenham fans excited by links to £34m-rated attacker

Tottenham are reportedly interested in Lazio attacker Joaquin Correa – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter are excited by the links to him.

Spurs, along with a few Premier League rivals, are eyeing a raid for the Serie A forward.

reports that Spurs and London neighbours West Ham are both keen on a potential swoop for the 26-year-old.

It is understood that Lazio could sell him, but only if their €40million (£34million) price tag is met.

Additionally, , as covered by The Boot Room, reported that Arsenal and Everton had both started discussions with Lazio about Correa.

Correa has just enjoyed a positive individual season in Italy with a Lazio side that finished sixth in the league. Therefore, a wave of Premier League interest has now emerged.

The second striker scored 11 goals in 38 games across all competitions. In addition, he chipped in with six assists as well.

The Lazio man is a versatile attacker that can play as a centre-forward or number 10, and he’s got great pace to go with his individual skill. He’s currently away on international duty with Argentina at the Copa America.

Tottenham fans positive about the Correa rumours

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media are convinced Correa is a great target for them.

There is a lot of uncertainty around the north London club right now, as they’re still yet to appoint a new manager. However, there is a talented group of players on the books.

They do need to sign some extra firepower to support centre-forward Harry Kane, so perhaps Correa can be that man. He does play a lot of the time behind a frontman, but has had succeed leading the line himself.

In conclusion, there is overwhelming support to the idea of targeting Lazio’s star.
