Omari Hutchinson posts on Instagram after signing Arsenal contract
Omari Hutchinson has posted on Instagram after the teenage talent penned his first professional terms with Arsenal after he turned 17 towards the end of October – uploading a picture alongside Per Mertesacker.
Hutchinson, 17, has emerged as a regular in the club’s Under-18 side this season and after turning 17 on October 29, Mertesacker and co. have swung into action. Rules state a player cannot sign a pro deal until their 17th birthday.
The versatile midfielder, who has been called up by England’s Under-17 side, has played in all seven of Arsenal’s Under-18 Premier League fixtures. Not only has he started all seven, but he has proved enormously creative.
He has helped the Gunners pick up 12 points from those seven games – laying on an impressive five assists despite being used as a number 10, a more central midfielder and even out wide. He posted on Instagram after his new deal.

His aims for this season will be to continue creating goals and perhaps score a couple of his own for the Under-18 side, while also looking to break into the Under-23 team under Steve Bould.
Bukayo Saka and Folarin Balogun have responded to his new deal, with both Arsenal stars posting an emoji on his Instagram post. Hutchinson is next in action for Arsenal’s Under-18’s against Fulham on November 21.
