Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Jude Bellingham was ‘in the building’ at Manchester United

A number of top clubs in the Premier League had their eye on Jude Bellingham🦄 when he was about to leave Birmingham City back in 2020.

🅺The midfielder, who was only 17 at the time, was already a household name. Everyone knew he had massive potential, including the player himself.

Bellingham had a plan for his career and he made a demand to every club he met, including Ole Gunnar Solskjaer🍸‘s Manchester United. All he wanted was regular game time in the first-team, but the Red Devils could not offer that to him.

♍That’s why he went to Borussia Dortmund and became a star there before sealing an £88.5 million move to Real Madrid last summer ().

ꦗSpeaking about the time he could’ve signed Bellingham, Solskjaer said on : “He was in the building. He knew what he wanted. Jude, he was in the building, you can’t ask for a lot more for a midfielder.

𒊎“I was obviously there as a manager. Sir Alex was there, Roy should’ve been there but you weren’t. Bryan Robson was there and Cantona was there that day when he came to the club. We all spoke to him.

🥂“Of course, we sold it to him (the project) as well as we could. But, he knew what he wanted – X amount of minutes in the first team. The most mature 17-year-old I’ve ever met in my life.”

Jude Bellingham is on fire at Real Madrid

Jude Bellingham is still only 20 years old, but his performances since joining Real Madrid🧜 last summer have been better than most players in the world.

♎The Englishman has scored 20 goals and provided eight assists in 30 games in all competitions so far. That is an outrageous return for a midfielder – nobody at Manchester United even comes close to those numbers.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who confirmed he wanted Declan Rice at Manchester United♎, would’ve loved Bellingham as well, and we’re sure he would’ve become a star at Old Trafford.

༺However, United missed their chance to get him, and we think they will regret it for a long, long time.
