O’Hara lauds Jack Harrison; says Leeds star should be in England squad
Jamie O’Hara that he would consider Jack Harrison for the Premier League team of the season so far, and claimed that he cannot believe that the Leeds United star was not handed an England call-up for this international break.
Harrison appears to have found another gear in the early stages of this campaign.

His numbers last season were somewhat misleading. The winger scored 10 goals in all competitions, including eight in the Premier League.
There is absolutely no question that some of those strikes were absolutely vital. And few will forget his hat-trick at West Ham in a hurry. However, his overall form was not as impressive as it had been in his first year in the top-flight.

But he has reached another level under Jesse Marsch. He scored in the win against Chelsea. And he has already surpassed his tally for assists from the whole of last season.
With that, there had been some hope that he may receive his first call-up to the England squad. However, the 25-year-old did ultimately miss out for this break.
O’Hara suggested that he would name Harrison in his team of the season so far. And he expressed his disbelief at the winger being overlooked by Gareth Southgate.
“He’s got three assists, he’s created 15 chances. He’s only behind Kevin De Bruyne in the league for chances created. I think he’s been awesome. I can’t believe he wasn’t in the England setup,” .
O’Hara lauds Jack Harrison
The timing of the World Cup probably counted against Harrison. Southgate is surely less inclined to try someone who has no experience when the tournament is just around the corner.
Ivan Toney is in the ranks. But that is surely down to the lack of depth the side have up front.
Harrison still has time to make Southgate’s mind up for him. If he plays as well as he did in the opening weeks of the campaign, the England boss may have no option but to make space for the Leeds star on the plane to Qatar.
