‘Oh my god’, ‘wow, just wow’: Some West Brom fans blown away by absolute ‘magician’ v Cardiff

A number of West Brom fans have praised Alex Mowatt for his performance in Tuesday’s Championship hammering of Cardiff.

The Baggies ran out 4-0 winners in the Welsh capital, with Mowatt scoring a sensational goal in the second half.

A cross from the right was only cleared as far as Mowatt, who let rip with a ferocious effort just outside of the D, finding the back of the net.

The 26-year-old’s screamer was West Brom’s third goal of the night.

Karlan Grant had opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a powerful effort from the edge of the box.

Curtis Nelson then netted an own goal just before the hour, smashing into his own net off the post, to put the Baggies two up.

And after Mowatt’s worldie, Matt Phillips rounded off the scoring eight minutes from time for an impressive win in Cardiff.

The result saw Valerien Ismael’s charges return to the top of the Championship table.

Needless to say, West Brom fans were ecstatic with what they saw on the night:

Mowatt has been a revelation since signing for Albion on a free transfer in the summer.

The former Barnsley man has made 10 appearances for West Brom, registering three goals and an assist.

Up next for Albion is Friday’s Championship trip to Stoke City.
