Nuno Santo makes Cole Palmer admission ahead of Nottingham Forest v Chelsea

Chelsea take Nottingham Forest this week and the in-form Cole Palmer is very much going to be the subject of plenty of attention.

Palmer exploded into life last season as he scored four goals against Brighton to once again show his class.

Palmer has quickly become one of the most feared players in the whole of England and Europe and for Nottingham Forest fans, stopping Palmer will be seen as key.

Of course, Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo is the man tasked with coming up with a solution when it comes to Palmer.

However, according to Santo himself, it shouldn’t be just about Palmer this weekend.

What Nuno Santo said about Cole Palmer ahead of facing Nottingham Forest

Speaking to the press ahead of facing Chelsea this weekend, Santo admitted that eyes are on Palmer but in the main, Chelsea are much more than just one player.

“We cannot ignore him but the game plan is not based on one player. Chelsea are much more than individual players. They have a very good idea of football and the way they create possession,” Santo told the .

“If we can in some way prevent the good players from putting the balls in the right spaces then we are doing good work.

“I insist that I spoke with the team about Chelsea, this is what we have to focus on.”

Palmer will be relishing Forest clash

Cole Palmer is such a confident player that right now, anyone put in front of him is there for the taking.

For Santo and his Forest team, no matter what he says here, stopping Palmer is absolutely vital to even be within a chance of getting a result.

However, with Chelsea playing well under Enzo Maresca, Forest know if they focus solely on Palmer then another number of stars like Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku could punish them.

Palmer, then, has created more questions than ever for opposition managers right now.
