‘Now that was banging’: Arsenal fans laud Bernd Leno for Lukaku save, despite Chelsea loss
Chelsea ran out 2-0 winners at Arsenal today as Romelu Lukaku scored a debut goal to hand the Blues another three Premier League points.
Lukaku slotted home in the first half from Reece James’ cross. He then went on to dominate the Arsenal defenders, bullying the likes of Mari and Holding throughout the 90 minutes.
But while Lukaku might have had the near-perfect debut, he was still denied a brace by a stunning save from Bernd Leno in the second half.

Lukaku rose to nod a Mason Mount cross but Leno, despite looking second favourite, flicked a hand out to tip the ball onto the crossbar with what was a stunning reflex save in all honesty.
Arsenal fans, then, were quick to laud the effort from Leno, despite the loss.
Social media was full of comments from Gunners fans who wanted to single out Leno for the one bright spark in the game. And with Aaron Ramsdale now breathing down his neck, it was just what Leno needed.
Here’s a look at what some Arsenal fans said about the Leno save from Lukaku on Twitter.
