Nottingham Forest told to ‘forget’ about signing £30m striker after brutal interview from his agent

Nottingham Forest have enjoyed a productive transfer window up to now but they face a late scramble to sign a striker before deadline day on Friday.

Forest failed in a move to sign Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah as he now closes in on a move to Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.

They then turned their attention to Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez but that deal remains in the balance with some reports suggesting he’s rejected them.

Now, it has just come to light, that one of their other rumoured striking targets is set decline a move to the City Ground.

Brian Brobbey’s agent appears to rule out Nottingham Forest move

Nottingham Forest reportedly enquired about £30m-rated Ajax striker Brian Brobbey but his agent has immediately ruled out a move to the East Midlands in a brutal interview.

Speaking to Dutch outlet , Fortes Rodriguez said: “Brian will only leave Ajax if it is a good move.

“That Ajax is in financial trouble is not my problem. I’m not sending my player to just any club. They can all forget about that.”

So, it appears as though Forest will have to look elsewhere…

Nottingham Forest should consider Jhon Duran

Nottingham Forest should really consider launching a proposal for Aston Villa frontman Jhon Duran, who is thought to be up for sale.

Duran was in talks to join West Ham earlier this summer but they opted for the cheaper option in Niclas Fullkrug.

So, perhaps there’s an opportunity for Forest to snatch him from Villa Park for between £35-40m.
