Nottingham Forest star Matty Cash has fired a warning to Leeds United, Whites fans respond
that he reckons his side can still catch the likes of either Leeds United or West Brom, if the season resumes – and Leeds supporters have reacted on Twitter to his comments.
Leeds sit at the top of the Championship table on 71 points, a point above second-placed West Bromwich Albion with nine league games still to play. Between the Baggies and third-placed Fulham, though, is six points.
Four points behind Fulham and 11 behind Leeds sit fifth-placed Forest, despite their 2-0 win over Marcelo Bielsa’s side at the City Ground in February. Under Sabri Lamouchi, Forest have been excellent, but still remain adrift of the top two.
Asked if Forest have any chance of catching the top two, impressive right-back Cash responded by firing a warning to both Leeds and West Brom – claiming his side are more than capable of closing the gap, if the campaign does get back underway.

“We have got to take every game as it comes,” “If you win five in a row and Leeds and West Brom lose a couple then you are right in the frame again. “Play-offs would be a great achievement from where we’ve been before.
“We have been nowhere near in the four or five years I have been here. But if we keep winning games you never know.”
Cash, 22, has been in excellent form for Forest this season. The versatile star has been used as a right-back by Lamouchi, playing in 36 of Forest’s 37 outings – and having a hand in seven goals, scoring three and creating four.
It has seen Premier League clubs linked with Cash, but Leeds fans reacted to his comments by questioning the Forest star. Many Leeds supporters remain confident that their side will be in the Premier League next time around.
Of the teams that are currently in the top half of the Championship, only 2 have won 5 league games in a row this season, Leeds and West Brom. So……..

Yeah – if there were more than 9 games left – I think he's trying to convince himself as opposed to us! You would think Bielsa has this team ready to go when we get the green light again
— Lewis Hobson (@LJ_YH2)
Yeah true. But you have to win 5 in a row first.

Forest haven’t been able to string more than 3 wins in a row all season no chance they will win 5 in a row
