Nottingham Forest star Joe Lolley is showing Huddersfield what they are missing

Nottingham Forest winger Joe Lolley has raised his game this season, establishing himself as one of the finest attacking threats in the Championship.

Lolley has been in superb form for the Reds, justifying Aitor Karanka’s decision to sign him last January.

Huddersfield Town opted to let Lolley leave on a permanent basis but his form in the Championship is proving David Wagner wrong.

With a relegation battle likely at Huddersfield this season, they could do with a creative talent like Lolley in their side.

The 26-year-old continued to impress last night, inspiring Nottingham Forest to a 5-5 away draw at Aston Villa.

The left-footed winger now takes his tally to seven goals and six assists for the season.

And he is a key man for the Reds as they continue their charge towards promotion.

Lolley spent four years with Huddersfield after joining from non-league side Kidderminster Harriers.

During that time, he scored 11 goals in 90 games for the Terriers. He played six Premier League games, scoring once with an impressive finish against West Ham.

But Wagner saw him as surplus to requirements; he may be regretting that decision now.
