Nottingham Forest set Morgan Gibbs-White price tag as Manchester City and Liverpool eye summer move
TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Nottingham Forest are ready to demand a massive fee for Morgan Gibbs-White amid interest from Manchester City and Liverpool
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are having an amazing season in the Premier League. They are currently third in the table and are now likely to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
A number of Forest players have performed brilliantly this season, but none more than Gibbs-White, who has been excellent.
That has alerted several big clubs, but Forest are not going to make it easy for any of them in this summer’s transfer window.
Nottingham Forest’s price tag for Manchester City and Liverpool target Morgan Gibbs-White
TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Nottingham Forest are ready to demand up to £100 million for their England midfielder Gibbs-White this summer.
The Reds have enjoyed a superb season to date as they look to seal a Champions League slot whilst also booking a place in the FA Cup last four.
Gibbs-White has been one of the stand-out performers for Santo’s side, and Forest’s belief is that he has been the best central attacking midfielder in the Premier League this season.
The 25-year-old was left out of Thomas Tuchel’s initial selection for his first England squad but was later called up when Chelsea’s Cole Palmer pulled out.
Some have suggested that Gibbs-White could need to leave the City Ground to push his claims as one of England’s top performers.
Forest sources dismiss these claims and insist that they are not looking to lose Gibbs-White, or any of their star performers.
However, the midfielder’s performances have, unsurprisingly, attracted interest from elsewhere.
Champions Manchester City are keeping tabs on his situation, as are their likely successors, Liverpool. Sources confirm to TBR that Eddie Howe is a huge fan of the player too and would like Newcastle United to challenge for his signature if he was available.
There is also interest abroad. We are told that RB Leipzig are huge admirers and they see Gibbs-White as a possible replacement for Xavi Simons, who could move this summer.
But, Forest are not willing sellers, and we are told that they see Gibbs-White in the £100 million bracket.
The Reds base that on the fact that they think he is comparable to Jack Grealish when he moved to Manchester City in 2021.

What Nottingham Forest are now planning to do to keep Gibbs-White
TBR exclusively revealed in March that Nottingham Forest are planning to offer Gibbs-White a new contract to extend his stay at the club.
The 25-year-old has been at the City Ground since joining them from Wolves in 2022, and he will enter the final two years of his contract this summer.
Furthermore, Santo’s side are ready to make some major investment in the upcoming window – TBR can reveal that Wolves star Matheus Cunha is amongst Forest’s top targets.
The Reds hope that their ambition will show Gibbs-White that his immediate future is best served at the City Ground.
