Nottingham Forest are now just two points and two places away from the Championship play-off spots after Martin O’Neill’s impressive start to his reign.
It has been an injury-hit season at the City Ground, but a squad in which there was heavy investment and much turnover under Aitor Karanka has put Forest in contention to get back where they are desperate to be – the Premier League.
And as the business end of the season approaches, Forest need all hands to the pump and one player who has not been able to feature as much as he would like is Sam Byram.
He has struggled with injuries during his time at West Ham and the fresh start he hoped for at the City Ground has also been interrupted by enforced absences.

But he is returning to contention at just the right time to help O’Neill sneak into that top six and continued his comeback in an under 23 match against Colchester United yesterday.
And the Forest supporters are excited to see him near a return to first-team action – in a match that ended 2-2 – so we’ve put together some of the best reaction…
So glad to see him back just think a back four of Byram Milošević Benalouane Robinson 🤩

Crossing my fingers, toes……and anything else i can cross, that Byram makes it through unscathed! That said, you always have to wonder with the injuries like he's had, that they ever get 100% fit, and whether they're able to put 100% into challenges/running etc, hope so!
