Nottingham Forest fans react to Joe Worrall’s performance against Derby County
Joe Worrall captained Nottingham Forest to a victory over bitter rivals Derby County in the EFL Cup. Forest progressed to the Third Round of the cup with a dominant 3-0 win over their East Midlands counterparts.
Joe Lolley, Albert Adomah and Joao Carvalho scored the goals for the rampant Reds, who have enjoyed a good start to the season. And Worrall has played a major role in Nottingham Forest’s success this season.

Worrall spent last season on loan at Rangers but he struggled to impress the fans. He returned to The City Ground this summer and Sabri Lamouchi has given him a starring role as he makes the centre-back spot his own.
The 22-year-old had played every minute for Forest this season until last night – when he was substituted with seven minutes left. Before coming off, Worrall produced an immense performance, helping Forest keep a clean sheet. One tackle of Morgan Whittaker was particularly eye-catching.
Here are some tweets from Forest fans discussing Worrall’s display.
