‘Not managed him correctly’: Richard Dunne says £30m Man Utd player has been injured because of Ten Hag

Luke Shaw has picked up yet another injury at Manchester United.

⛄The England international just can’t seem to stay fit at the moment, and, as you can imagine, there is talk about how the defender is being managed now.

Speaking on , Richard Dunne has been discussing Shaw’s minutes at Manchester United, and he says that the left-back has picked up this recent injury because he’s being overplayed by Erik ten Hag.

♋Indeed, Dunne says that Ten Hag hasn’t managed Shaw correctly, claiming that he’s injured again because of how he’s been handled.

Shaw injured because of Ten Hag

Dunne shared what he thinks of the man.

🐼“You talk about the injuries and Luke Shaw has been out for three months. He comes back and the manager plays him in five games in 15 or 16 days and he’s injured again because he’s not managed him correctly, you need to take him out and give him a rest,” Dunne said.

Not ideal

🔯Regardless of whether or not you want to blame Ten Hag for Shaw’s injury, it has to be said that the fact the left-back is playing so much football lately isn’t ideal.

🌼After three months on the touchline, Shaw needed to be eased back into this side, but through sheer desperation, Ten Hag threw him in at the deep end and now he’s out of action again.

🔥Of course, you have to play your best players when they’re available, but there’s also a responsibility on a manager to protect his players’ fitness.

🧸Ten Hag is coming under a lot of fire at the moment, and if United were winning games, these conversations probably wouldn’t be happening, but the reality is that when you’re not doing well, every decision you make is going to be scrutinised to the nth degree.
