‘Not his biggest fan’: Sky Sports pundit says one Tottenham player needs to do more now
Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has said he is not the biggest fan of Tottenham and Brazil striker Richarlison.
Richarlison and his teammates were dumped out of the World Cup by 2018 finalists Croatia on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
The former Everton man had been shining at the tournament and may have even been a contender to win the Golden Ball if Brazil had won the trophy.
But Merson told that he wants to see more from Richarlison, whose focus will now be back on domestic football.

Merson on Richarlison
He said: Richarlison has been great (at the World Cup), and he’ll have to carry that on.
“I’m not his biggest fan, to be honest. I think he can do better, but he’s led the line very well.
“He’s got a big responsibility on his shoulders now – he’d play every game for Brazil at the World Cup.”
If Richarlison had returned to Spurs having fired Brazil to World Cup glory, then perhaps it would have given him new status within the squad.
As it is, he had a very good tournament personally but Brazil wilted in the face of the first serious competition they faced.
That means he has a bit more time to prepare for his return to action with Spurs but on the other hand, it remains to be seen how long getting over this intense disappointment takes him.
