Northern Ireland fans discuss Leeds star Stuart Dallas’ display against Bosnia
Northern Ireland earned a penalty-shootout win over Bosnia away from home with Stuart Dallas impressing throughout the match – and Northern Ireland supporters have applauded the Leeds star on Twitter.
Dallas, 29, edged closer to 50 caps for Northern Ireland as he picked up his 45th cap for Ian Baraclough’s side. Northern Ireland had to hold on to a 1-1 draw, with Bosnia certainly the better side throughout the first 90 minutes.
AC Milan midfielder Rade Krunic opened the scoring after just 14 minutes, latching on to the end of a brilliant pass from Branimir Cipetic to find the back of the net past former Leeds goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
But it was 1-1 early in the second half, as Aberdeen veteran Niall McGinn tapped home after a rebound fell gently into his path. The match remained at that scoreline, despite Bosnia boasting Miralem Pjanic and Edin Dzeko.
The match went to penalties and Dallas stepped up as Northern Ireland’s first penalty-taker, scoring for his country. After a nail-biting spell of penalties, Northern Ireland finally booked their place in the next round with a 4-3 win.
Northern Ireland supporters discussed left-footed Dallas, who played on the left side of Baraclough’s 3-5-2 system. Many believe the £1.3million () Leeds signing was one of their country’s best players on the night.

In other news, stuart dallas covers more ground than all other 21 players combined whenever he plays for club and country. Ludicrous

The improvement in Stuart Dallas in the last 2-3 years is so impressive. Always was a good solid player but hes really stepped it up a notch or 2.
