‘Nonsense’… TalkSPORT host shocked after what Darren Bent just said about Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka

TalkSPORT host Andy Goldstein was shocked after what Darren Bent said during a debate about Arsenal star Bukayo Saka and Manchester City’s Phil Foden.

The Euros are coming up this summer, and England have a fantastic squad. It might just be the best one they’ve had since the golden generation, and Arsenal🌊 winger Saka and City’s Foden could be key for the Three Lions in Germany.

Darren Bent picks Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka over Phil Foden as England’s right-winger

Gareth Southgate🐎 has a plethora of options to choose from in attack for his England side, doesn’t he?

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka𝓀 has been a regular for the Three Lions over the last few years, and he has been fantastic for them.

He is guaranteed to make the squad, but for his spot on the right flank, he will likely have some competition as Phil Foden🌜 is expected to get on the plane to Germany as well.

The Manchester City star is having a fantastic season, and Saka vs Fodenꦏ is a massive debate on social media after almost every game.

𝄹Darren Bent and Andy Goldstein had the same debate on yesterday, and after the former picked Saka over Foden, the latter was shocked. Here’s how their conversation went:

🔜Goldstein: “Who would you rather have in your team, Saka or Foden? In your England team.”

Bent: “Both! That’s ridiculous, I want both.”

💖Goldstein: “No, this is the question, on the right-hand side of the front three, (who would you pick).”

Bent: Saka!

ꩵGoldstein: “You’re such a liar. Why are you lying to me? You’re the only one in this room. You’re talking nonsense. You’re blinded by your love (for Arsenal)!”

Bukayo Saka vs Phil Foden this season

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka and Manchester City☂‘s Phil Foden are both having fantastic campaigns for their respective clubs, but who has had the better season?

Foden has played 40 times for Pep Guardiolaꩲ‘s side in all competitions this season and he has directly contributed to 28 goals – 18 goals and 10 assists.

🅘Saka, on the other hand, has played five games fewer than Foden but has been directly involved in more goals. He has scored 15 times and provided 16 assists in all competitions already.

The numbers don’t lie, Saka is the better option on the right flank, and he should start there for England. However, if we were Gareth Southgate, we’d start Foden as well, probably on the opposite flank. He is a world-class player too.
