‘Nonsense man’: These Rangers and Celtic fans condemn rescheduled kick-off time
It’s not often fans of Rangers and Celtic agree on anything, but they have come together to roundly condemn the decision to reschedule next week’s derby.
The game was originally scheduled to kick off on Saturday at 4pm, but that will now clash with Prince Philip’s funeral.
It was confirmed on Monday afternoon that the Scottish Cup fourth round tie will now go ahead at 3pm on Sunday.
That news has been met with anger from both sets of the divide, as many take issue with the idea that football must accommodate an event that’s of little interest to the majority of them.
As confirmed on , the Glasgow sides’ fourth meeting of the season is not the only fixture to be rescheduled.
Below is the full list of times and dates.
Friday, 16 April
St. Mirren v Inverness Caledonian Thistle; kick-off 6pm
Motherwell v Greenock Morton; kick-off 7pm
Forfar Athletic v Dundee United; kick-off 7.45pm
Saturday, 17 April
Kilmarnock v Montrose; kick-off 11.45am
St. Johnstone v Clyde; kick-off 5.30pm
Aberdeen v Livingston; kick-off 5.30pm
Sunday, 18 April
Stranraer v Hibernian; kick-off 12.15pm
Rangers v Celtic; kick-off 3pm
These Rangers and Celtic supporters have wasted little time in venting their frustration.
