Noni Madueke says player who left Chelsea for free is even better than Harry Kane

Noni Madueke has ranked a player who left Chelsea for free higher than England captain Harry Kane.

The Blues have had a disastrous couple of years in the Premier League. They finished 12th in the table last season and it’s unlikely they’ll end up a lot higher than that this time around.

Chelsea, however, had a few outstanding players in their squad not too long ago. They had proven winners who knew how to get the job done.

Madueke appears to be a big fan of one such player now.

Noni Madueke ranks former Chelsea player higher than Harry Kane

Chelsea have been a completely different side since Todd Boehly purchased the club.

They still spend an awful amount of money on transfers, but it has to be said that some of their decision-making has been atrocious over the last two years.

Chelsea have allowed quite a few players from their old regime to leave the club under Boehly. One such player is N’Golo Kante, who is up there with the best.

The Frenchman joined the Blues from Leicester City back in 2016 and became an instant hit at Stamford Bridge. He played a massive part in helping Chelsea win the Premier League title in his debut season. He also won the Champions League and Europa League as a Blue.

Then, despite links to Arsenal, Kante left Stamford Bridge on a free transfer last summer to join Al-Ittihad.

Chelsea star Noni Madueke was asked to blind rank 10 players in a video on , and the winger placed Harry Kane in fourth position.

Then, when Kante popped up, he ranked him a place higher than the Tottenham legend, in third.

How is N’Golo Kante doing in Saudi Arabia?

N’Golo Kante sealed a free move to Al-Ittihad last summer, where he joined big names like Karim Benzema and Fabinho.

The World Cup winner has scored four goals and provided six assists in all competitions so far, but unfortunately for him, his side are already 25 points behind Al-Hilal at the top of the Saudi League table.

Kante’s Al-Ittihad were also knocked out of the AFC Champions League earlier this month. The former Chelsea man picked up a red card in the first leg of the quarter-final and was suspended for the return fixture that his side lost.

Al-Ittihad only have the King’s Cup to play for now. Kante scored in the last round to help his side reach the semi-final of the competition, and he will be hoping to do the same again in the coming games.
