‘No way’… Rio Ferdinand says Arsenal would never be able to sell their 24-year-old player for £20m
Rio Ferdinand believes that Arsenal have absolutely no chance of getting £20 million for one of their players as the Gunners potentially look to raise funds for new signings.
Arsenal fans will hope that their drop in form has come at the best possible time. Mikel Arteta’s side have now lost their last three in all competitions just as the January transfer window starts to get into full swing.
However, the decision to take David Raya on an initial loan towards the end of the summer hints that Arsenal do not have the funds to make game-changing signings this month. So players may have to leave if they hope to bring new faces in.
Rio Ferdinand doesn’t think Arsenal could get £20 million for Reiss Nelson
And one of those who would surely be in contention to leave is Reiss Nelson.

The 24-year-old has made nine substitute appearances in the Premier League this season. And Nelson is apparently unhappy with his game-time at Arsenal.
Wolves and Sevilla want Nelson. And they may not be the only sides keen on a deal. However, Rio Ferdinand does not believe that Arsenal are going to get much money for the winger.
Speaking on , Ferdinand insisted that they may do well to secure an eight-figure sum for the academy graduate.
“£15 million maybe. No way £20 million,” he said.
“Elanga, how much did he go for? We’re talking about levels here. Elanga plays for Sweden as well by the way.
“Elanga’s done more at Premier League level than Reiss Nelson.”
Gunners not in the best position
Nelson definitely has the talent to be worth a lot more. However, he seems to be coming through at Arsenal at the wrong time.
His best position puts him in a battle with Bukayo Saka for a place in Mikel Arteta’s side. And there are not many who are going to stand a chance against the England international.
He has shown glimpses of his quality this season. Nelson was excellent in the Champions League tie with PSV Eindhoven last month. However, he has not been able to do enough to earn significantly more minutes.
And given that he has not made a Premier League start since the 2019/20 season, Arsenal are hardly in the strongest position to demand a larger fee.
