Liverpool are insisting clubs pay £20m if they want to sign their ‘incredible’ player
Liverpool might not be up to much in terms of new signings but they are also holding firm when it comes to exits as well.
The Reds have had a quiet window all summer and are yet to make a new signing for new manager, Arne Slot.
Of course, Martin Zubimendi is being pursued by the Reds and that deal is said to still be ongoing as Real Sociedad try to force the issue.
On the flip side, Liverpool also know a number of clubs would happily take some of their players off their hands.
But according to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are holding out for big money.

Liverpool reject £10m bid for Sepp van den Berg
to share an update on the future of Sepp van den Berg, Romano has said that Liverpool are insisting on £20m, no less, for the defender.
Van den Berg is thought to have impressed Arne Slot in the summer pre-season but the defender has also shown a desire to leave Anfield as well.
Lauded for his ‘‘ performances while on loan with Preston North End, Van den Berg spent last season with Mainz and was a star performer.
Liverpool should sell Van den Berg
There’s no doubt he’s done well in pre-season and he could well contribute this term but right now, Sepp van den Berg is still a fourth choice.
Liverpool have Van Dijk, Konate, and Quansah all ahead of him in the pecking order and it’s easy to see why the player himself wants a move.
Yes, Liverpool will want to extract a big fee and bring in a fair price.
But £20m is a lot of money for a 22-year-old who has not done too much in his career just yet.
In reality, something closer to £15m is surely likely to get Liverpool’s approval.
