‘No’: PSG manager Thomas Tuchel says they won’t be moving for Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi
PSG manager Thomas Tuchel has squashed rumours of a potential move for Arsenal midfielder, Matteo Guendouzi, after the French giants were linked with the Gunners man.
Guendouzi has been out of favour at Arsenal ever since he showed a lack of discipline at Brighton earlier last season. The Frenchman has been linked with a number of clubs over the summer, including PSG, Valencia, and Atletico Madrid.

However, speaking after PSG kicked off their season with a loss last night, Tuchel issued the shortest of responses when asked about the potential signing of Guendouzi.
“No, that will not happen,” Tuchel commented. )
Guendouzi could come back into the fold this season under Mikel Arteta if the club do not sell him. The Gunners need to move some players on to help fund the Spaniard’s squad overhaul.

The young French midfielder is an obvious saleable asset. It would also save the club around £40k-a-week, to have been bragging about to the Brighton players.
But for now, it seems, PSG won’t be the destination for Guendouzi. Whether that changes as time goes by, remains to be seen.

Aside from the poor attitude he displayed, PSG are in the market for the very best players in the world, not squad players who may or may not do a job for the team.
Guendouzi is no guarantee of success for the French club. Furthermore, they can afford and attract players of higher quality if they really want.
Arsenal will have to hope others come in for their man if they do wish to sell. However, as the window continues to tick along, Arteta could be faced with the challenge of keeping a player who he doesn’t really want as part of his group.
