‘No Odemwingie’, ‘He’ll do well’ – These West Brom fans react to Zohore signing
West Bromwich Albion have the signing of Kenneth Zohore from Cardiff City. The striker has inherited the No. 9 shirt, previously belonging to Salomon Rondon.
We're delighted to announce the signing of striker Kenneth Zohore from on a four-year contract.
Give our new No.9 a warm welcome, Baggies! 🙌🏼 |
— West Bromwich Albion (@WBA)
Zohore arrives at the Hawthorns off the back of a difficult campaign in the Premier League. The 25-year-old managed just one goal in the top flight last season. The Dane will now be seeking to get back to his best with the Baggies.

He has certainly shown his quality in the Championship before. Over the course of two and a half seasons in the second tier, Zohore notched 23 goals in 77 outings. Slaven Bilic will be hoping that Zohore can get back to his best and then begin to build on those numbers.
If Zohore can become more prolific then he could have a huge impact for West Brom. He is a powerful, physical presence in the final third and a natural target man. He has the potential to become the focal point of the Baggies’ attack. However, in order to really flourish at the Hawthorns, Zohore must first become more consistently reliable in front of goal.
Following the announcement of his arrival, plenty of West Brom fans took to Twitter to react to the new signing.

I think Ken Zohore could be a decent signing, sure he’s no Odemwingie or Tony Rees but those days have gone ?
