‘No’: Marcelo Bielsa has bad news for Leeds fans concerning 25-year-old
Marcelo Bielsa has claimed that Junior Firpo is making good progress as he battles back from injury, but admitted that the Leeds United star will miss the next two games at least – .
It has been a difficult start to life at Elland Road for Junior. The left-back has come in for criticism for some of his performances.

However, it does appear that he has improved with each week. And he was one of several players to do well in the Whites’ win over Watford before the international break.
Unfortunately, he has been unable to build on that performance. He missed Saturday’s loss to Southampton. And Bielsa confirmed after the defeat that he had suffered a muscular problem a few days earlier.

.
But he has now suggested that Leeds can expect to be without the summer signing for a little while yet.
“Firpo is evolving quickly and well,” he said, . “I couldn’t tell you exactly how long he has left, but the next two games no. From Norwich onwards he has chances of being back in the team.”
Junior Firpo one of several with point to prove for Leeds amid injury blow
Of course, it is not Junior’s fault that he is currently struggling with injury. The training intensity may well have come as a shock to him and his body.
But it does compound the frustration surrounding his first few months at Elland Road.
There have been a few errors. And his performances have failed to banish the memory of Gjanni Alioski amongst supporters.
But he clearly has the ability to be a fantastic left-back for Leeds. And he will obviously be desperate to make up for lost time upon his return.
