‘No-brainer’… Pundit just can’t believe Celtic never bothered to sign 24-year-old in January
This is a transfer story that simply isn’t going to go away for the Celtic fans is it?
After scoring against Brendan Rodgers’ side on Saturday, Bojan Miovski followed that up with another against Rangers last night.
And despite The Dons going down 2-1 to the Ibrox side, the 24-year-old striker proved once again that he is a class act when it comes to scoring under pressure.
With Celtic linked to the Macedonian international during the January window, it seems now that the decision not to pursue the Aberdeen man has come back to haunt Celtic.
And radio pundit, Stephen McGinn, says he simply can’t believe Rodgers didn’t go in for Miovski before the January transfer window closed.
McGinn said [], “The Miovski one, I just can’t get my head round in terms of you watch him and Celtic play one up front.
“Kyogo has not hit the heights and I know he’s had a few special days against Rangers.
“But he can occupy two centre-halves. Is he the finished product in terms of a Celtic Champions League striker? No, but is anyone in the side?
“I just watched the goal he scored at the weekend, he’s done that at Hampden is a semifinal and ran from his own half against Hibs.
“He’s 24, he’s an internationalist. I just felt it was a no-brainer. He’s probably added a couple of million on his price tag in terms of showing that performance level in a game like Saturday.”
With Celtic struggling for goals this season, Miovski would have been a great addition to the squad.

Now on 20 for the season, Miovski looks destined to move in the summer and it could be that now, he may have better options in bigger leagues after his goalscoring feats this season not only in Scotland, but in Europe as well.
But Celtic seemed to have moved on. The signing of Adam Idah meant that interest, if there really was any, in the Aberdeen striker is over for now.
The Celtic fans will be hoping that Idah could be the man to offer a different goalscoring threat to Kyogo and help fire them to the title this season.
