Nikola Vlasic hasn’t taken long at all to impress David Moyes at West Ham.
The Croatian will return to his homeland in Europa League action for the Hammers as they face Dinamo Zagreb.
It won’t be an easy game, but with Vlasic they could get off to a flier in Europe.
Signed from CSKA Moscow for £26.8m plus add-ons (), Vlasic has done a lot to impress Moyes.
Speaking to the ahead of the trip to Zagreb, Moyes said:
“We’ve been really impressed by Niko. His attitude as a professional is first-class.”
“We watched him a lot at CSKA Moscow and in the Euros.”
“We see a young player still developing, but one who already has a lot of experience and caps for Croatia.”
“He can play 7, 10 or 11, so can play several roles for us which is important, and will be important through the season, but we also want to give him the chance to adapt and adjust.”
“He’s only been really impressive since he’s been at the Club and we’re really hopeful that he’ll turn into a really good player for us.”

Vlasic now just needs to put together his training performances with a string display in a game.
As Moyes stated, his versatility will make him a perfect option at the London Stadium.
Being able to play off either wing or through the middle in attacking midfielder should see him get plenty of minutes.
Alongside the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Pablo Fornals and Said Benrahma, there is a lot of competition.
However, with a dominant display in Europe there’s no reason why Vlasic can’t cement himself in the starting eleven.
