The goa𝄹l came about after some brilliant work from Phillips down the right flank. He made a superb run to get onto a pass from ෴Kyle Walker.

He then proceeded to dancౠe inside and produce a delicious pass into Sterling’s path.

The assist came after Phillips had already staked an early claim for the man of the mat🎐ch 🍸award.

The 25-year-old was superb in the middle of the park, producing a number of excell🙈ent passes and doing a lot of good work around 🧸Declan Rice.

Leeds fans will certainly not be surprised that P🌳hillips was continuing to push himself as the final whistle loomed.

Plenty of fans felt that the midfielder was the best player on t⛄he park. A♊nd it appears that Phillips is winning plaudits♈ from several directions.

One of those ꦕto la☂ud the Leeds talisman on social media was de Jong.

The Dutchman is a Premier League winner, who has also played in a World Cup final. So he is certainly someone that Phillips will 🙈probably appreciate the views of.

Kalvin Phillips silences doubters with Euro 2020 opening display

Leeds fans needed no convincing about what Phillips would bring to the side if given a chance at Euro 2020🎉.

But a look on social media w💮ould suggest that others had not yet been convinced that the midfielder was worthy of such a prominent role on the international stage.

Some Leeds fans even felt compelled to deꦚfend him following an international game earlier this year.

But those who doubted Phillips have been silenced emphatically following his𒐪 latest performance.

There can surely be no more questions about whether Phillips is good enough for the highest le🧸vel.
