Niclas Fullkrug reveals why he really chose to leave Borussia Dortmund for West Ham
It’s fair to say that Niclas Fullkrug hasn’t exactly hit the ground running at West Ham United under Julen Lopetegui thus far.
Fullkrug completed a big money move from Borussia Dortmund last month, a striker who is believed to be a ready-to-go hitman for West Ham.
But after his exploits at the Euros🤡, Lopetegui has seemingly preferred a patient approach with the Germany number nine, who’s currently stuck behind Michail Antonio.
Fullkrug’s only start came in the EFL Cup, otherwise he’s played 63🌱 minutes in his Premier League cameos🐈.
Of course,📖 Fullkrug will also play second-fiddle to Arsenal striker Kai Havertz whilst away with his national team this week and next🗹.

꧃Ahead of facing Hungary on Sa🉐turday, Fullkrug was speaking at Germany’s press conference via .
When the 31-year-old deciꦜded to leave Dortmund this summer, it seemed as if a few eyebrows were raised, the club had just reached a Champions League final.

But when speaking at the presser,ღ Fullkurg perhaps explained why he made the call, and then ended up in east London.
Fullkrug said: “I always want to be transparent. I want the fans to understand me, but I also don’t want to tread on an🎐𒈔yone’s toes.
“Of course there are differeꦇnt reasons why I thought about a transfer in the first place. A transfer like the one BVB made was not the greatest sigꦗn of confidence [signing Serhou Guirassy].
“In the end, 𒁃it turned out that there we😼re some attractive offers in the race alongside West Ham, which I looked at.
“I decided to make another dream come true. The Premier League is a very special🧔 place. I felt a tremendous conviction, a tremendous confidence.”
Carlos Soler can help unlock Niclas Fullkrug at West Ham
West Ham fans will probably imagine that Fullkrug🅠 will be handed 𝐆a starting chance once club football resumes.
Lopetegui’s side have two London derbies coming up against Fulham and Chelsea𒊎, games tailor-made fo💯r the German to announce his arrival properly.
And perhaps Carlos Soler’s move to West Ham can help Fullkrug do exactly that.
Soler has been brought in to provide better creativity for Lopetegui in 💟midfield, something the Spaniard felt was lacking.
And on Soler’s part, the midfielder was happy to leave a prestigious club ♐like Paris Saint-Germai🅺n because of the attraction of working under Lopetegui.
