Neymar could be about to cause Liverpool and Arne Slot a big issue ahead of the summer
In a surprise turn of events, it could actually be Brazilian superstar Neymar who causes Liverpool to lose one of their key players in the near future.
In the backdrop to Liverpool’s brilliant debut season under Arne Slot, the futures of Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk are all causing a bit of anxiety at Anfield.
Slot is arguably at risk of losing his three best players at Liverpool, who are currently all free to discuss pre-contracts with clubs overseas.
Alexander-Arnold is expected to join Real Madrid upon the expiration of his contract, but Liverpool will hope for better news with Salah and Van Dijk.
Van Dijk is not interested in leaving Liverpool, suggesting he will sign a new deal.
But in terms of his goalscoring teammate, the Saudi Pro League are desperate to sign Salah, who would be willing to pay him a similar wage to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Al Hilal might use Neymar funs to tempt Mohamed Salah to Saudi Pro League
Unfortunately for Liverpool, there has now been a new twist in the Salah drama, thanks to Al-Hilal superstar Neymar.
According to reports far and wide, Neymar is closing in on a return to Brazil to join his boyhood side Santos, saying goodbye to Saudi Arabia.

And if that happens, it seems logical to think that Al-Hilal will push to bring in another superstar signing.
The upcoming Club World Cup will commence in June and the competition presents a big stage for Al-Hilal to impress.
Therefore, the club may push extremely hard to sign Salah with the money they’d be saving on Neymar’s wages, numbers that Liverpool would potentially be unwilling to match.
Who could Liverpool sign to replace Mohamed Salah?
If that were the case and Salah was tempted away from Liverpool in the summer, then it wouldn’t all be doom and gloom for the club.
Yes, losing Salah would be a gigantic blow for any side in world football, but Liverpool should have the finances available to sign a superstar replacement.
Liverpool have been interested in Jarrod Bowen in the past, even if West Ham would dig their heels in over their captain’s valuation, who recently signed a new long-term deal.
Thinking outside of the box, Liverpool could target some like Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembele, who would be very well suited to a Slot team.
Otherwise, Liverpool like Rodrygo from Real Madrid judging by previous links, a player who might be tempted away from Spain at the promise of being a star player on Merseyside.
Real now have several Galaticos, and Rodrygo might fancy a more prominent role elsewhere.
