Newcastle’s Dan Burn says two Tottenham players really impressed him vs Man City
Newcastle United defender Dan Burn has now been dishing out some surprise praise of two Tottenham Hotspur players after this weekend’s football.
Burn was speaking on the BBC’s ‘’ during his injury lay off, and it seems he’s had some time to watch one of his sides’ rivals.

That being said, Burn was incredibly impressed with two Tottenham players who made life difficult for Manchester City on Sunday.
Burn name-checked both Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski for their excellent pressing – something he’s familiar with at Newcastle.
Speaking on the podcast, : “I feel as well like when they [Man City] are dominating teams that just builds confidence for them as well.
“They are so used to being in a position where they have the biggest share of possession and are constantly pinning teams back.
“But you don’t often make them uncomfortable. So yesterday against Tottenham, sometimes they looked uncomfortable.
“Son was triple pressing people, Kulusevski was going after people. It’s not something that they are really accustomed to doing, especially at home.
“City is a big pitch and to go there and go and all out press successfully is tough.”

Of course, Tottenham will host Newcastle this weekend following a mid-week game against West Ham United.
And as is often the case with Spurs right now, Ange Postecoglou’s side will face a testing week.

Perhaps Newcastle are the only side in the Premier League even more beleaguered than Tottenham right now.
Dan Burn is one of several key Newcastle players missing for the festive period – something Tottenham are familiar with.
That aside, the game between the two should be an excellent watch, two teams that play with the highest intensity possible.
And although both the Spurs players mentioned are key, Son has been particularly impressed with another attacker under Postecoglou.
The potential return of Richarlison to the starting line up could also be very timely this weekend – especially given all of Bryan Gil’s troubles.
