Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon names the £50m Arsenal player who’s so hard to play against

Anthony Gordon has played against some incredible players during his career.

Indeed, having played in the Premier League and the Champions League as well as internationally for England, Gordon has played against some top talent.

Mo Salah is the best player Gordon has faced so far 🐻according to the winger, but, as an attac♍ker, the real thorns in his side are the full-backs he comes up against.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Gordon has been discussing some of the best defenders he has ever faced, and he mentioned Arsenal’s Ben White as a player he finds really difficult to play ag𝔍ainst.

Ben White is one of Anthony Gordon’s toughest opponents

Gordon spoke about playing 🧸against White as well as Kyle Walker and Trent-Alexand🎐er-Arnold.

The Newcastle ace says that Walker is difficult to face൲ due to his ph♐ysical attributes, while Alexander-Arnold is more technical.

Interestingly, Gordon claimed that the man is a good mix of both styles, and that makes him very hard 🐠to play against.

Sadly, White is currently out injured after undergoing surgery on his ankle.

“Kyle Walker, ob🦋vious reasons, so fast, so strong. Trent, completely different, not so much a runner, a passer, the approach is different, you need to get tight to stop him playing the passes he does,’ Gordon said.

“Ben White is a mixture of both, he mixes up getting forward and defending,൩ but Arsenal are a really tough team, so he’s hard to play against as well𝄹.”

Anthony Gordon’s record vs Ben White

Gordon says that🔯 he finds it tough to play against Wౠhite, but the stats tell a different story.

In⛎dividually, Gordon doesn’t necessarily always have the best game against White, but he does have a very good record against the defender during his career.

Given that Gordon has played for weaker teams in the shape of Newcastle and Everton compared to 🐻Arsenal, the fact that the winger has a winning record against White is very interesting.

Goওrdon never actually played against White during his time at Brighton, so these games only involve Arsenal.

For one reason or another, Gordon does sꦏeem to have Arsenal’s number, and in one of the games he did lose against the north London club, he only played 12 minutes.

Interestingly, Arsenal were keen on Gordon in the summer, aꦚnd given that he always seems to perform well against the Gunners, it’s easy to understand why.
