Rafael Benitez’s future at Newcastle United may reportedly hang on the outcome of the next three games, but the club must abort any plans to get rid of him.

It is understood that upcoming fixtures against Brighton, Southampton and Watford will go a long way to revealing his future at St James’ Park.
The report also details that current Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is being considered as a possible replacement for Benitez if he can’t stop the club’s current rot.

The 58-year-old Spaniard has been the best thing to happen to the North East club in recent weeks and is working on an extremely restricted budget.
Benitez dragged them to a 10th-placed finish in the Premier League last season, something that looked impossible given the quality in his squad.
But he’s got a knack of getting the best out of his players and is the right manager to take the club forward to the next level, if he receives the correct financial backing.
Rodgers is a brilliant candidate for most managerial jobs in the Premier League, but it would be a backwards step from proven tactician Bentiez.
