Newcastle United must find Freddie Woodman solution
Freddie Woodman’s recent quotes suggest he is unhappy at the situation he finds himself in at Newcastle United. The report the following comments from the goalkeeper:
“January is around the corner and I have to be prepared for it when it comes.”
“I just want to get the best out of a bad situation.”
The talented shot-stopper is currently the fourth choice at St James’ Park and his chances for first-team game time are tiny.

Woodman is currently part of the England Under-21 squad and has been considered a future senior international for a number of years. He helped the Under-20 team win the World Cup in 2017, but his career hasn’t kicked on as he would have hoped.
Last season, he made his Newcastle United debut in the FA Cup and spent time on loan at Aberdeen. Woodman has also had loan spells at Hartlepool United, Crawley Town and Kilmarnock.
It was a disappointment that another loan spell wasn’t found for him in the summer, as at the age of 21, he needs to be playing games.
Newcastle need to find a solution in January. Otherwise, they risk losing one of their most talented young players on a permanent basis.
