Juan Mata is exactly the player Newcastle need to progress

Newcastle United ended the 2018/19 Premier League campaign in 13th which represented a regression from the season previous.

The club’s supporters will natuﷺrally hope that a deal ca💞n be agreed with manager Rafa Benitez to stay. His contract expires at the end of June and nothing has yet been confirmed.

Once the manager’s fut🎀ure has been confirmed the club will hope to turn their attention towards the transfer market. At this time of the year, there will be lots of players linked with lots of clubs and Newcastle won’t be an exception.

One name who has been perhaps surprisingly mentioned is Juan Mata. that the Spaniard ꦬi🗹s a target for Newcastle; with the 31-year-old Manchester United man set to become a free agent.

Newcastle fans deserve a stellar signing lಞike Mata. They deserve to see their club land a player who has proved world-class during his time as a player.

Star quality

Okay so the former ꦿValencia man hasn’t been a first-tꦉeam regular for a few seasons now, but he can still do a job. Despite largely featuring as a substitute last season, he netted six goals and claimed four assists for the Red Devils.

The little magician has played under Benitez before at Chelsea, where the pair won th🧸e Europa League together.

His arrival would perhaps be about more than just his ability on the pitch though. The likes of S🅰ean Longstaff, Ayoze Perez and Jam﷽aal Lascelles will probably have interested parties this summer.

Landing a player boasting the quality and the professionalism of Mata m♐ight make the star players currently in place at Newcastle realise that their fut🐟ure lies at St James’ Park.

It could also hel♏p the club land more quality additions in the window. The ex-Spain international might have lost his way during recent years, but if Newc🍃astle can offer him regular football the signing looks like a nice fit for all parties.
