Difficult Blackpool spell means that future looks bleak for Elias Sorensen at Newcastle
Newcastle United have a proud history of producing players through their very own youth academy.
Sean Longstaff, for example, has been a revelation this season, whilst others have gone onto great things in the past.
The Magpies loaned out another of their highly-rated youngsters during January in the shape of Elias Sorensen.

The Dane joined Blackpool on loan for the remainder of the campaign, earning his first Football League opportunity.
Things haven’t gone according to plan.
Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez was quoted last week in saying that he wasn’t happy with Sorensen’s lack of game time.
that the Magpies sanctioned the move as it suited both the club and the player, but things haven’t worked that way.
The 19-year-old hasn’t featured in a Blackpool squad since playing 32 minutes of a 2-2 draw.
It is not really known why the Magpies youngster isn’t getting a look in but it doesn’t bode well for his future.
Sorensen clearly knows where the back of the net is.
He has netted 16 goals in 19 appearances for the Under-23s so far this season, with the next stage to hopefully go out and show the Magpies what he can do in men’s football.

That hasn’t transpired and now it remains unclear what happens in the future.
Another loan spell is likely and he will need to hit the ground running during his next stint away.
Sorensen has a Newcastle contract until 2022 and will need to quickly show what he is capable of if he wants to play first team football at St. James’ Park.
