The CBS journalist told that Newcast🗹le haven’t even made an enquiry about Thuram yet.
“Within the market he’s a pretty decent price. I do think there’s an opportunity because Monchengladbach want to sell but I’m not aware at this point 🦩that Newcastle have made an enquiry or started anything,” Jacobs said.
“It was Manchester United who were reaꦆlly considering him in the build up to the World Cup. I think Thuram is one to watch, only because he’s at an age where he could be tempted by a move and the price could be lower than other targets.
“But other than that anꦰd Saint-Maximin’s comments, there’s not too much to this from a Newcastle sense.”
Thuram h🀅🧸as been in lethal form for Monchengladbach this season and has bagged 13 goals in 17 appearances.
The attacker was ꦜalso brought on as a substitute dur⛎ing France’s World Cup final defeat to Argentina and helped Les Bleus get back into the game, alongside Randal Kolo Muani.
He could be available at a cheap price too, with his contract set t🥂o expire at the end of the season. German outlet claims Monchengladbach could be willing to accept a fee worth around £10 million to avoid losing him for free.
Howe seems well-stacked in terms of his striker options at the moment but he could do with another wi💃de player to compete with Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin.
Thuram has shown he is capable of playing across the font-three and would undoubtedly improve the quality of Newcastle’✨s squad. But after the Frenchman’s start to the campaign, the Magpies will face stiff competition for his signature if they register their interest.
