Newcastle should surely act as Betis reportedly slash Firpo asking price
With Newcastle United in the market for a new left-back, a development over in Spain may just be of interest to the Magpies.
, Real Betis have slashed their asking price for defender Junior Firpo down from €35 million/£32 million to €25 million/£23 million.

The full-back is being pursued by Barcelona, who have supposedly offered €20 million/£18 million for the Spanish U21 international.
The Catalan giants are keen to land the 22-year-old, but have identified an alternative target in Philipp Max if they fail.
Firpo had an impressive season in 2018/19, featuring in 29 games and scoring three goals. He also contributed five assists.
Newcastle have been looking at Stanley Nsoki but new reports () have claimed an agreement has not been reached over wages.
TBR’s view
Newcastle should definitely see value in £23 million Firpo, who is much further developed than Nsoki.

The star operated as a left-winger on a number of occasions last term and would be a brilliant fit for the Newcastle system that uses wing-backs. Steve Bruce has already confirmed he does’t intend to change formation.
Newcastle have signed Joelinton, and now they should be seeking to follow that deal up to make another statement of intent.
Firpo is the ideal signing for Bruce, and is now within Newcastle’s budget.
