Newcastle should rekindle Lozano interest amid Almiron uncertainty
Newcastle United may have a problem on their hands.
Miguel Almiron’s agent has been very vocal of late about his client’s situation at St. James’ Park.
At first, he claimed Almiron was only still at Newcastle because of the pandemic and that Atletico Madrid were interested in the Paraguay international.

Now, he’s said Inter Milan want to sign him in 2021, : “Inter have shown interest in Miguel Almiron, but no progress has been made.”
£42,000-a-week star Almiron () has endured a frustrating start to 2020/21, with Steve Bruce regularly overlooking him as a starter.
It seems all isn’t well, and the Magpies may have to plan for life after the South American if he starts agitating for a move in January.
And one man Newcastle could perhaps have a look at to replace him, is Napoli’s Hirving Lozano – who was linked with a loan move to the club earlier this year ().
TBR’s View – Lozano upturn should have Newcastle attentive
Lozano did not have a great season in 2019/20.
He hit just five goals and made two assists in 39 appearances as he struggled with the transition from PSV Eindhoven.

But he’s started very well in 2020/21, scoring four times in his first six Serie A outings. He also notched for Mexico on Tuesday against Japan.
Maybe Napoli won’t welcome any interest given they did shell out £38.5 million on him (), but Newcastle may need someone to replace Almiron and he is a somewhat similar player.
Perhaps the Magpies could even offer Almiron to Napoli plus a bit of cash for the livewire.
