Newcastle should consider signing Joe Hart or Fraser Forster if they lose Dubravka
According to the , a host of clubs are interested in signing Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dubravka this summer. The Magpies’ fellow Premier League clubs Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United all hold an interest in the Slovakian shot-stopper. Meanwhile, Monaco and Porto are also keen on the No. 1.
The aforementioned report states that Dubravka has been unsettled by manager Rafa Benitez’s departure. He could be set to follow the Spanish coach out of St James’ Park. His exit would leave Newcastle in desperate need of a new ‘keeper.

In the event of Dubravka’s departure, the Magpies should consider moves for either Joe Hart or Fraser Forster. Both England internationals have fallen down the pecking order with their current clubs. Both are in desperate need of a fresh start.
Hart is not the first choice at Burnley and Sean Dyche would likely be open to moving the 32-year-old on this summer. Likewise, Forster finds himself behind Alex McCarthy and Angus Gunn in the goalkeeping hierarchy at Southampton.
Hart has 75 England caps to his name, as well as two Premier League titles. However, he has not been at his best for a few years now. It would be a risk for Newcastle to bring him in as their first choice.
Forster would likely be the safer bet. He is a reliable shot-stopper and still has plenty to offer at the top level.
