Newcastle reportedly interviewing manager Klopp said was ‘extraordinarily good’, fans should be buzzing – TBR View
A new era has arrived at Newcastle United, with the Saudi-led consortium’s takeover of the Magpies effectively making them the richest football club in the world.
Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), which holds an 80 percent stake in Newcastle, has assets worth $360 billion.
The Magpies are currently battling relegation from the Premier League, but with so much money behind them, they’ll be aiming for trophies in the coming years.

Newcastle’s new owners have stressed that they’re not going to be rushing into any decisions and have appealed for patience as they set about transforming the club.
One of the first positions earmarked for change is that of manager – there has been plenty of speculation over who could replace Steve Bruce in the Magpies dugout.
According to , Newcastle’s search for a new manager to replace Bruce has narrowed down to three candidates – Eddie Howe, Paulo Fonseca and Lucien Favre.

The report claims all three have held initial talks with the St James’ Park hierarchy and will be interviewed this week.
Out of those, Favre is the most experienced – and Newcastle fans should be buzzing about the prospect of him taking the reins at SJP.
Newcastle target Lucien Favre – what does he bring to the table?
The 63-year-old has managed the likes of Hertha Berlin, Borussia Monchengladbach, Nice and Borussia Dortmund.
Favre, who began his coaching career in 1993, was reportedly close to landing the Crystal Palace job in the summer.
reported at the time that Eagles co-chairman Steve Parish identified him as a leading contender because of his reputation for building attacking teams and blooding young players.

So, a veteran manager with an impressive CV, a penchant for attacking football and giving youth a chance – so far, so good.
In addition, claims Favre likes the idea of working in the Premier League – another box that Newcastle ticks.
“He made me much better”
And then, we have some top endorsements from the likes of Jurgen Klopp, Mario Balotelli and Marco Reus.
In 2018, when Favre joined Dortmund, the Liverpool boss told : “I think the choice is extraordinarily good.
“A very good coach back in the Bundesliga in a very good club.”
While at Nice, Favre got the best out of Balotelli, who scored an impressive 43 times in 66 matches under the Swiss coach.

“He made me much better, especially tactically. Before, I worked on instinct,” Balotelli said in 2020, according to .
“I discovered a great coach. He is very good tactically, but also in the way he manages the locker room.”
And Reus told the Bundesliga in 2018: “I’ve had quite a few club coaches and among them, [Favre] is probably the best I’ve ever had.”
