Newcastle interested in ‘unbelievable’ attacker who Arsenal ‘regret’ not signing

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in FC Barcelona attacker Raphinha, who Arsenal are rumoured to have regret not signing last year.

, the La Liga giants are open to selling the Brazilian international as Barcelona once again hope to recoup some funds in the January transfer window.

As per the report, Raphinha is one of a handful of players who could leave in the new year, and Newcastle are interested in signing the former Leeds United star, as well as Chelsea.

A return to the Premier League has been touted for some time for Raphinha even with the winger joining Barcelona just last year, with that Arsenal regret not signing the forward.

Indeed, with Newcastle in the market for attackers, Raphinha would tick a lot of boxes for Eddie Howe’s side considering what they are looking for in January.

And with Barcelona open to selling, the Toon should strongly consider a move for Raphinha, who could relish a Premier League comeback 18 months after leaving Elland Road.

Raphinha’s Barcelona career hasn’t gone as well as many would have expected, with the winger yet to really get going with the Catalonia giants.

And for Newcastle, this gives them a unique chance to go all-out for the attacker, something that has already been reported this year.

With money to spend, Newcastle should be looking to do all they can to sign as many world-class players as possible in January, and Raphinha would certainly fit the bill.
