Newcastle have just launched fresh bid for ‘phenomenal’ player on Tuesday lunch time
Newcastle United are now looking to really get a shuffle on in their summer transfer plans with the season less than two weeks away.
Better late than never, they say; and Newcastle are certainly leaving it late despite there being around four weeks left of the window.
Up to now, Eddie Howe has been left a fairly frustrated figure on Tyneside with the Toon failing to equip him with new players for the Japan tour.
Of course, there has technically been the addition Lloyd Kelly and two backup goalkeepers but there is still a lot of work to be done.

Newcastle launch second bid for ‘phenomenal’ player on Tuesday
It’s only natural for Newcastle fans to be very underwhelmed with the business which has been done so far.
After all, the Toon also found themselves at risk of breaching PSR back in June which was far from the ideal start to the window.
Thankfully, Newcastle have made it to August with all of their top players remaining at the club.
But now it is still for the Magpies to start bringing in some further additions to bolster their side ahead of their push to get back into those European spots.

According to journalist Joel Bland, Newcastle have just submitted their second bid on Tuesday lunch time for Marc Guehi.
Newcastle opened up negotiations last week for Guehi with Crystal Palace under the knowledge a deal would be difficult.
However, Paul Mitchell is not looking to hang about with their season opener against Southampton coming up next weekend.
The bid is believed to be worth around £65m with an increased upfront fee from the previous offer of £40m.
Marc Guehi would be a ‘phenomenal’ signing for Newcastle
Going into the summer, Howe will have been well aware of their need to add a new centre-back or two.
Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles are both carrying long-term issues this summer which will see them miss the start of the campaign.
Although Kelly was signed, clearly, there was still room for improvement to be made.
It may have taken them a while to get going, but if Newcastle are able to land a ‘phenomenal‘ player of Guehi’s calibre then the wait will have certainly been worth it.
