Newcastle fly chief scout out to watch 24-year-old midfielder this week, he’s just like Bruno Guimaraes
Newcastle United reportedly sent their chief scout to watch Atalanta midfielder Ederson on Monday night.
The 24-year-old Brazilian has emerged as a target for the Magpies in recent weeks, with Newcastle reportedly interested in signing Ederson.
Likened to Newcastle’s star midfielder Bruno Guimaraes by Tim Vickery, Ederson could be an exceptional signing for the Toon if Eddie Howe’s side can make the deal work without breaching any financial rules.

And , Newcastle sent their head scout, Steven Nickson, to Bergamo this week to watch Ederson in Atalanta’s Serie A clash against Frosinone.
With the midfielder scoring on the night, Nickson likely returned to Newcastle with a glowing report of the South American talent, who could now be set for a Premier League switch.
Indeed, Ederson could be an ideal January signing for Newcastle, and officials at the club could now be tempted to test the waters for the Atalanta midfielder in the coming weeks.
Newcastle need to take a risk and make a move for Ederson

If Newcastle are to return to the UEFA Champions League for next season, the Magpies will have to sign a midfielder this month to stand any chance of competing once again with Europe’s elite.
Whilst financial restrictions have severely limited what Newcastle can do this month, there are some loopholes the Toon can utilise to pull off a signing or two.
And one of these new additions must be Ederson, who could be a perfect partner for Guimaraes in the midfield and an ideal long-term signing for Newcastle.
Moreover, Atalanta could be willing to do business depending on how Newcastle structure the deal, with a loan offer with an option to buy the most likely way forward.
