Newcastle fans react to Rolando Aarons joining Motherwell on loan

The Magpies confirmed () on Friday’s deadline day that the 24-year-old made the switch to Motherwell in time before the January transfer window shut.

He spent the first half of the campaign out on loan with League One club Wycombe Wanderers, where he managed two goals in 13 appearances for them.

The attacker has now joined his fifth different team for a loan spell away from St James’ Park and it’s clear he’s fallen extremely far down the pecking order.

Aarons managed to make a breakthrough into the Newcastle first-team as a youngster and played 27 senior games for them, but the last couple of years he’s been shipped out on several loans.

The left-winger has been unable to rediscover any kind of form during spells with Hellas Verona, Slovan Liberec, Sheffield Wednesday and Wycombe Wanderers.

He will be hoping his move to Scotland’s top-flight can be a positive one for him and it feels like last chance saloon to try impress Newcastle.
