Newcastle fans react to reported interest in Everton winger Yannick Bolasie
Newcastle United are reportedly weighing up a move for Everton attacker Yannick Bolasie – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are totally against the idea.
The have claimed that Newcastle and Southampton are both planning potential swoops for the winger during this summer transfer window.
The report detailed that Crystal Palace also wanted him on loan, while it would take at least £7million for him to exit Goodison Park.
The are now reporting that the Congo international has a £10million release clause in his contract and the Merseyside club are ready to sell him.
Bolasie has fallen out of favour at Everton and spent the first half of the season on loan with Aston Villa, before a temporary switch to Anderlecht.
The speed machine has five goals in 16 games for the Belgian club since joining, but he’s not performed well in the Premier League during the last couple of seasons.

A selection of Newcastle fans are convinced that the Everton wide man would struggle at St James’ Park, with one even suggesting he wouldn’t make the bench.
Rafael Benitez’s squad already has some decent options in wide areas, but it’s in the midfield and at striker where they need to focus their summer spending.
Here are some Newcastle fans commenting on Bolasie:
Decent player but spending 10m on him is a bit too much imo

Wouldn’t make the bench

He wasn’t even good enough for Villa in the champ

Why would we spend 10mill on him but apparently not another 6 on Rondon, not a chance, lad did nothing in the championship, much better players out there for that money and younger

30 years old? Next.
