Newcastle fans react on Twitter to reported interest in Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster
Newcastle United are one of several Premier League clubs to have registered an interest in Rhian Brewster, that Liverpool are considering loaning the striker out this summer.
Brewster’s stock is extremely high after an outstanding loan spell with Swansea City. The 20-year-old scored 11 times as Steve Cooper’s men came agonisingly close to reaching the Championship play-off final last season.
Goal reports that the Reds feel that a Premier League loan could be the ideal next step for Brewster. And there are a number of clubs putting themselves in the running.
, Newcastle are one of six in the top flight to have made an enquiry. Meanwhile, the three relegated sides have also been monitoring the forward.
Plenty of Magpies supporters however, are hoping that Steve Bruce can convince Liverpool to loan him Brewster for the coming campaign.
Several have suggested that they believe that he would be an excellent addition. Newcastle ended last season with no players reaching double figures for league goals. In fact, their top goalscorer – midfielder Jonjo Shelvey – managed just six strikes.
And while some have insisted that they would like Brewster to not be the only striker signing, it does appear that he would be an extremely popular acquisition if Newcastle can win the race.

I like Brewster and he’s a goalscorer, but I don’t see him succeeding in our system. We need someone with more physicality, unless we’re going to play them with Joelinton (or AC when available).
