Newcastle fans react as Southampton eye Isaac Hayden
A number of Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on concerning Isaac Hayden and interest from Southampton.
Magpies fans are still awaiting their first senior signing of the summer. Until then, there is bound to be a lot of speculation surrounding the kind of funds Steve Bruce has to work with.

What will not help put supporters’ minds at ease are reports claiming that one of their most important players could leave for just £10 million.
, Southampton want Hayden. And it is claimed that Newcastle would be willing to let the 26-year-old go for the eight-figure fee.
Hayden has already been linked with a move away this summer. It was previously reported that Watford were eyeing the midfielder amid Newcastle’s interest in Will Hughes.

It remains to be seen if Hayden does leave Tyneside. But what can be said without doubt is that many Newcastle fans have no interest in seeing him move on.
They have slammed the idea of letting him go for just £10 million. Hayden has been an incredibly good servant to Newcastle in recent years.
‘No way’: Newcastle fans react as Southampton eye Isaac Hayden
So the fans are hoping that there is nothing in the suggestion that he could now leave for St Mary’s.
Here is how some of the fans have reacted to the reports…
You know what £10m buys you these days? Nowt. Doesn’t even buy you £9m. The fact he’s English should push the price even higher, it does for everyone else. No way would I be selling him, but if someone wanted to buy, I’d not even answer the phone for under £30m.

Signs a 6 year deal then let our best midfielder go for 10m. Seems legit

Sounds about right this- sell our best midfielder, our only defensive midfielder, and keep Shelvey and Hendrick at the club instead.. the Newcastle way! 👏🏼 gets better every season with this team! 👌🏼

Would be a mad sale at that price, but this is Ashley’s NUFC so money talks. He will develop into a top centre half and is perfect for our 3 CB system if we hang onto him

Hahahah £10m? You’re having a right laugh. What a daft valuation.

£10m in today’s market . For what he brings to the pitch. Loads of unnoticed work . Surely £25-30m

That’s shocking it’s only £10 million but if we reinvest that into Boubacar Kamara for £15 million then ok.

I would hope that if he was available, it would be for a LOT more than £10m
