Newcastle fans react as Rolando Aarons responds to Toon supporter
Rolando Aarons has responded to a Newcastle United supporter on Twitter who claimed that his career could have been so different had he scored a chip against Manchester City, and Toon supporters have discussed the winger.
Aarons, 24, has clocked up 27 appearances for Newcastle’s senior side – but has since gone on loan five times to Sheffield Wednesday, Slovan Liberec, Hellas Verona, Motherwell and now Wycombe Wanderers.
Having already played in four different countries and way down the pecking order at Newcastle, the Jamaican-born winger is set to enter the final 12 months of his current contract at St. James’ Park.
During 2017-18, Aarons was handed a surprise start against Manchester City and came within an inch of finding the net with an audacious chip over Ederson. A fan suggested had it gone in, it could have changed his career – to which Aarons responded.
It will still be great don’t worry bro 😁

With Newcastle’s spending set to vastly increase as the club look close to announcing a £300million takeover, Aarons could find that any chance of recovering a place in the Toon side will diminish over the next few months.
Despite that, many Toon fans believe Aarons should have been given more of a chance in the senior Toon side than just the 27 appearances – with one fan even urging: “Please stay and show how good you are”.
