Newcastle fans react as Rolando Aarons joins Wycombe Wanderers on loan

Newcastle winger Rolando Aarons has joined League One outfit Wycombe Wanderers on loan until January,

Aarons was out on loan at Championship side Sheffield Wednesday last term and has been unable to force his way into the Magpies’ first team squad again this season.

: “I’m delighted to be able to bring Rolando to the club. It’s a real coup to attract someone of his calibre. Rolando will complement our style with his pace and ability to run at players and create chances for himself and others.

“Wycombe Wanderers has been a great platform for many young loan players down the years – something we’re extremely proud of – and I’ve got no doubt that Rolando can prove what a talented player he is during his time with us. I’d like to thank Newcastle for trusting us with one of their young stars.”

Newcastle confirmed the news – on the transfer deadline day for teams in both League One and League Two – on their and many fans had their say.

Some felt that Aarons should have been given a shot in the first team under Steve Bruce – given the lack of genuine attacking invention at Steve Bruce’s disposal – but others were happier to see him leave.

They feel that Aarons has had his chances to impress and may as well be moved on. It remains to be seen whether he can impress enough in the third tier to earn another shot with the Magpies.
