Newcastle fans react as Isaac Hayden posts reflective montage on Twitter
Some Newcastle United fans have been reacting to a Tweet from Isaac Hayden.
The midfielder has uploaded a short video to his 83,000 followers that takes a look back at the Magpies’ season.
The clips are accompanied with some narration that acknowledges there were plenty of ups and downs throughout 2019/20.

It also touches on the fact that fans were unable to be present at St. James’ Park after the enforced break, as well as the show of support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
It has been a turbulent season for Newcastle, which is no less than most would have expected following the exit of Rafa Benitez last year.
Steve Bruce did lead the club to a 13th placed finish though, but that hasn’t got all corners of the St James’ Park faithful on board.
It may have been a rollercoaster, but Hayden is a player that can certainly hold his head high.

The defensive midfielder was largely a mainstay for the Magpies, impressing with his work rate and solidity in the engine room.
In recent times Hayden has been open and honest about the potential for him to leave the club, citing family reasons, but he has stuck around throughout the last couple of transfer windows and knuckled down for the team.
With that perhaps in mind, some Newcastle supporters couldn’t help but express their worry to Hayden on Twitter following his upload of the video, with lots choosing to lavish praise on the 25-year-old:
This better not be a goodbye, love you king??

Isaac I know originally you wanted to move back down south for your family which the majority of toon fans would have completely respected however you stayed up here, we remember that❤️

Brilliant individual season for you personally …One of our more consistent and better performing players and definitely one of the best tacklers in the league. Appreciated and respected ⚫⚪❤⚽️

I hope you sign a new deal Isaac. You were one of our better players this year for certain. You need to be paid more.
Plus if we do sell you, (we all know you prefer it da’an sa’af) and you’re on a better/longer contract. We will get more ???

Enjoy the break lad, you’ve been invaluable and a leader despite having all the excuses to not do so ?
— Jurke_89 (@89Jurke)
Let’s hope you are playing for an ambitious owner next season lad. Massively under rated player, the team looks a hell of a lot more solid with you in it.
